North Retro Bylaws
Name and purpose
North Retro, also known as North Retro Tech Club, is an unincorporated association. The club preserves computing history through education, outreach, reuse, repair, and responsible recycling.
Membership
Adults age 18 and older who follow the Code of Conduct are eligible for membership. Membership is free. The Board will announce future dues before charging them.
Board
The Board includes the Founder and President, Sysop, Docent, Quartermaster, Ombudsman, and Treasurer. Board members serve until resignation, removal, or replacement.
Role owners handle routine work. The full Board votes on budgets, bylaw changes, Board changes, and formal partnerships. The President breaks tie votes.
The Ombudsman acts at once on serious conduct violations. The Ombudsman reports those actions to the Board.
Finances
The Founder and President tracks funds until a Treasurer takes the role. Funds run through MPLS LLC. The Board keeps donation and spending records.
Changes
The Board changes these bylaws through a majority vote. The Board tells members about significant changes to the club name, mission, or membership rules.
