North Retro Tech Club

Retro computing club

Keep old technology alive.

A club for people who love old technology: the machines, the history, and the people who keep both alive.

We’re based in Anoka County and the north metro, and we’re just getting started. Join the Discord, say hello, and help build something real.

What we’re for

Old machines, still working.

North Retro is for anyone who cares about older technology: collectors, tinkerers, restorers, developers writing software for machines decades old, and people who just love hearing the stories behind them. If you’re into anything from the earliest computers up through roughly the 2010s, you’re in the right place. We’re not strict about the cutoff.

We exist to do four things: keep old hardware and software useful, teach people about the history behind it, keep it out of the landfill, and build a real community around all of it, not just a feed to scroll.
